ABOUT SENDING PROMO MATERIAL/ DEMOS etc:
Do yourself a favour and save some postage by NOT sending us your promos. We do listen to everything we receive, but we have honestly hardly ever done any deals from receiving promo material. It happens, but rarely. Usually we find the bands we want to work with on our own, via people we know or just strange circumstances. Keep in mind that Apocalyptic Empire Records is just a small underground label (and will remain that way) and it is quite amazing to see bands looking for 3-album deals, studio budget, tours or whatever sending us their promo-package since this is something you will NOT get from Apocalyptic Empire Records. We will usually offer you a shitty, low budget deal with copies of the printed records/ cd's as "payment", only worldwide underground distribution to tons of underground labels/ mailorders and NO official major distribution which again means that it will be damn near impossible to find your record/ cd in any major record-stores at all. On top of that we will NOT advertise in any major magazines or ship shitloads of promo-copies of your record for free to radiostations and webzines, but simply rely on the good old underground way of doing business with word-of-mouth, flyers and "letters" (called email these days). So, if this sounds like a bad deal to you, don't waste your time or money by sending us your promo material. Do not call or write us to follow up, we do not have time to follow up on every demo we receive and will not give you anything back. If we are interested we will contact you. Yes, it sucks to have to spend shitloads of money on sending your demos worldwide without getting any feedback, but nobody is forcing you to do so and that's the way it is for EVERY unsigned band on the planet and you should really think twice if it is worth it and if you have something special to offer. It is survival of the fittest and for fucks sake stop emailing with your shitty mp3 files or youtube-clips. Apocalyptic Empire Records does not listen to mp3 demos, will not visit your myspace page, will not view your youtube-clips and will not view an e-press kit. If you still feel lucky, please submit music only, but unless it is the soundtrack of armageddon/ judgement day or the creepiest, most vile, angst-ridden and devestating recording since "The Return...Of Darkness And Evil" it will probably be listened to ONCE and thrown into the HUGE box of never-to-be-listened-to-again cd's collecting dust.
